We got the snow that we’ve been missing most of this winter. Not a ton of it, like other areas of the US, but enough to satisfy my desire for snow.
It can rain now.
We’re still down in rainfall, but out of the hard drought from last year. Every bit of snow and rain is much appreciated by anyone who loves gardens, farms for a living or enjoys fishing or boating on a pond or lake.
These evergreen trees in our back yard showed stress from the drought. Now they’re looking better, more healthy. They’re ready to push out more shoots, grow more pine needles and reach just a bit further up to the sky.
I took time to go look up close at the trees this afternoon. Seeing the melting snow on the branches of needles brought thoughts of springtime to mind.
I’m ready for the season of green.

The circle of life, shown and told so well here.
Thank you, Kathleen. My spirit longs for that season of renewal to begin everything anew.
