At the end of formal portraits after their wedding today, Becky & Jim said, when I asked if there were any other pictures they wanted at the church, “Let’s have everybody come up!”
Many of their family and friends had already run between raindrops to head for the reception, but there were a good many of them still there, enjoying the celebration as they watched the next group portrait. Up they all came, and the smiles broke out all over.
Becky and Jim took a load off by sitting down, making room for more. That was one thing I noticed about the two of them, they always made room for more. Thinking about their family and friend’s comfort, enjoyment of the day, any detail that needed attending to. They both went out of their way to be helpful, always with a smile and a hug.
Later on, at the reception, the volume of those smiles turned up even more. These folks know how to have fun and party. They had a good reason to, seeing their family or friend find the love of their life in that special person. If the roof could have been moved, it would have blown off with the energy and enthusiasm of all gathered.
Just look at this bunch, can’t you tell they’re bursting with joy, ready to break loose with some wonderful, joyful celebration of love?
