Karen always says yes when I ask her to be a test model. Just one of the things that I love about her.

I just needed a quick check of using my indoor flash against windows. I have an upcoming reception where a wall of windows will be a challenge in at least some of the shots, hence my checking on my skills.

For my asking and her agreeing, we get this great portrait of her. Total time involved? About 30 seconds – this is my 2nd shot. I needed the first to learn.

Always learning, and always checking out my skills prior to a gig.
