If it were not for the Internet and social media sites, I wouldn’t have the pleasure of knowing Kelly and her daughter Mallory, plus a whole lot more folks across the globe.
Mother and daughter, in Kelly’s backyard at a gathering of friends. Friendships made via in-person connections and online connections, some meeting in-person for the first time.
Kelly is an amazing person with an outgoing attitude that gathers in people as friends, everywhere she goes. She has a busy life as a school administrator, a mother to an extended clan, and a friend to countless and precious friends. Mallory has that same full-of-life personality, and her smile could light up the night.
Kelly and her partner, Russell ( who loves to cook and did cook up some mighty fine food today to feed the hungry hoards), decided that it had been too dang long since they had a gathering of friends. They had an open house, and many folks came through and enjoyed the time, the food, the laughter and passing the baby around. At one point, a 7-week old baby showed up in Kelly’s arms. When someone asked whose baby this was, Kelly said: “I don’t know, I just decided to have another one!” Really it was a friends, but the baby quickly became part of the extended family, with many taking turns caring for him.
It was that kind of a fun open house party. Y’all come and enjoy, and we did.
