It’s pretty dry, here in Central Illinois. Not much rain, and the farmers are getting concerned about crop stress. Cracked soil abounds, even in the corn-filled fields.
So, where did this moisture come from? Sprinklers in Washington Park Botanical Garden, doing their best to keep the flowers and plants moist.
I happened upon this large green leafed plant as I was walking towards my car after a pleasant walk through the gardens. The water was beading up nice, as well as slowly flowing down the leaf edges.
I hope some rain comes soon.
