My bride, my sweet Karen Sue.
Taken in our sun room.
I realized that I had not had a portrait of Karen of late, and asked her if she would be my subject. “Sure!” she said with enthusiasm. I set my aperture to f1.8, the widest of the lovely Pentax FA 31mm Limited lens. One of my finest lenses for the love of my life. The advantage of the wide aperture, is seen here as the slim depth of focus on Karen’s eyes, while the rest of her is softly out of focus. It’s a dreamy lens for portraits.
We’ll be married 34 years this coming October. It seems as fresh as yesterday, but with the insights of those years added to our partnership and love. I hope for many more wonder-filled years together.
I’m more in love with her than ever before.

True love’s beauty mirrors in your lens.
Look at those twinkling eyes! A Beauty!!!
