An evening’s walk through the prairie grass preserve gave pause for reflection.
The sunset lit up the tall grass tails, making them glow in the twilight.
The sky overhead was slowly changing color as the reds of sunset gave way to the deep blue, signaling the oncoming black of night.
The symphony of insects and frogs started their nightly songs, filling the air with sounds. Only the steady crunch of dry grass under foot punctuated the ordinary night sounds.
A smooth and peaceful passage into night.
