Happy

The title comes from the inscription in the face of the altar, “Beati qui ad cenam agni vocati sunt” or in English: “Happy are those who are called to his supper.” That’s part of the Liturgy of the Eucharist in the Catholic Church’s celebration of the Mass.

This church, is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah, Georgia.

While Karen and her sister Lisa were out and about, sampling the stores and shops of the Savannah River waterfront, I was exploring the squares and this church. I thought it a fitting image for this Easter Eve.

I am happy with the result. I tried a 5-image high dynamic range capture, but preferred to take one of the images and beef the exposure settings to get this.

I’m counting my blessings today.

Happy Easter to all.

  1. Beautiful shot, Matt. Happy Easter.

  2. Thank you, Lisa! Happy Easter to you and your family!

  3. W!O!W!

  4. Thank you, Jeanette. Not bad for hand-held. I used a tripod for the St. Agnes one, and merged 5 images of different exposures on that one. For this one, I found a better result using one image.
