Silently Slipping Away


Winter, a tree, the sun fading to the horizon, shadows and sparkles.

It was a cold day, but the sun was keeping me warm.

As the shadows lengthened, I kept trying to capture the light of each unique moment, both here and the many other points of view along this part of Lake Springfield. I had a sense of urgency, knowing that the light changes the view by the second.

One moment, caught.
