We’re famous for our Governor’s, here in the State of Illinois.
Infamous, most would say.
With nearly a handful of recent governors having either served time, still in or about to go into prison, the lessons of justice and fairness seemingly haven’t been drilled into those previous holders of this office. By this office, I’m pointing out that this is one of the two doors that open to the “official” office of the governor in the State Capitol building.
The doors are enormous. Ten or more feet high and a good three inches at the core, with the raised detail added to that. There’s a pair of lion heads on the doors.
Would that be guarding the governor from the public or the public from the governor?

I would hope that with our new governor the door would be open, as he was an activist for good and open government, when he was monitoring state gov’t in the 70s. And Lt Gov Simon is there to keep reminding him. Neat shot, Matt.
Quinn is better than his predecessors, which is a relief.
