The white gulls where a distracting bunch. It’s a wonder they get enough to eat to power their constant taking off, swooping, landing, circling, etc.
The ducks and geese were not distracted by their pale cousins. I was more of a concern to them. As I made any movement towards the dozens of birds on or around the mostly frozen Washington Park lagoon, the quacking would out the warning and the masses would move away. It was as if I had a 20 foot force field around me, watching the expanding circle that opened as the crowd gave way to my moving presence.
A cool morning, made warmer by the beauty of nature.

I love that morning light! And of course the scene is just my thing. I love the bokeh over the birds in the background, too. Really nice, Matt!!
