Close

An up close view of two close companions. The tall maple tree and the ivy vine that twines upwards the trunk.

I was fascinated by the two-as-one look. The ivy vine looking as much a part of the maple tree as the bark and limbs. Apparently the ivy isn’t harmful to the tree, it doesn’t compete for sunlight by smothering the leaves of the tree. it uses only the trunk and large bark-covered surfaces to hitch a ride to gather sunlight.

The complexities of nature fill me with awe and wonder at the organized chaos of it all. The more I look, the more fascinating and inspiring examples of natures marvels that I find.

Life is never boring, if I take a close look.
