Tallgrass

Karen’s favorite vegetation, Sea Oats. They help keep the beach intact on the East & Gulf Coasts of the United States and the Caribbean islands. Just after sunrise, I crouched down to grab this silhouette against the sand, sea and sky.

I admit some bit of me is attracted to them, but not like my Karen Sue. She’s like a moth to a light with these clumps along the beaches, wherever found. If I turn around and lose track of where she is, I now just look for sea oats as one of my likely locations. That and the tiny birds that feast on morsels of sea life that are uncovered at low tide in the mornings. She’s always following them around, looking for interesting angles. Me, I’m usually scanning the sky for a good cloud formation.

We each have those things in life that touch us inside. Perhaps they bring a smile or a sense of wonder.

So this one is for my Karen Sue, the lover of sea oats.

Simple pleasures

  1. Oh no! ANOTHER day up close to sunrise?? Does someone need to take your temperature or something. =)

I have to agree with your bride. I would be drawn to them as well, but more for the things I could do with them photographically. =)

Beautiful shot again! Hope you are having loads of fun. =)
