What’s That?

Yes, that’s my sock-covered foot in the lower-left of the frame. On a whimsical urge, I decided to leave it in the composition.

Sissy was following me around, calling out to me, with soft pleading mews, wanting desperately for me to pet her. Part of her M.O. (Modus Operandi) is to stay just out of my reach, for some reason that seems to escape both her and me. I end up moving to her in this standoff game of “stroke the cat,”

Here, she was following me around the sunroom as I was changing lenses and about to head out to get some views of the autumnal landscape. I thought the reflected light looked good on her softly stripped fur, so I dropped my hand (plus the camera) down to the floor and pointed it in her direction. Having the lens all the way wide to 10mm, gives her a bit of the exaggerated look, making her quizzical look of wonder all the more fun.

I can just about hear her inner thoughts: Why is he pointing that me instead of petting me?

Ever a source of companionship, and vexation, our cats make for a perfect addition to our home.

  1. LOL – she’s adorable. Mine just tend to roll their eyes up in their heads when they see the camera pointed at them. “Come ON, mom! Really?” =) Just like kids in so many ways. =)

  2. Thank you, Jewell. A spur of the moment bit of fun
