Four trees were there, standing as sentinels holding the canopy of autumn-colored leaves up against the blue & white sky.
It was a composition that instantly came into my head and urged me forward to set my camera flat on the ground in the middle of them, pointing straight up to that sky.
The sun was almost setting but the tops of the trees still had hold of the golden light, turning their browns and yellows into gold and bronze talismans of the season.
Winter is swiftly headed our way, a cold rain set in for a good soaking today, chilling each to the bone as a calling card of old man winter.
This warms me right back up. Seeing the grandeur of autumn against that beautiful blue & white sky.
