Dry Tracks

Everything leaves a trace of itself as it passes through life.

These animal tracks are likely of a bobcat, but perhaps a mountain lion. Found in a dry creek bed in a nature preserve full of trees, bushes and sources of water that might make a good place to hide out for one of these predators.

Fortunately, these were very dry. I didn’t get the opportunity of seeing the beast in person, nor did I want to do so. Powerful beasts, best kept way far away.

I hope I leave the kind of tracks that leave a permanent impression, hopefully a positive one. I do my best, and that is the most any of us can do.

A nod, a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. Those are my tracks.
