I saw this bush, blazing red in the late afternoon sun and did a u-turn onto a back road to find a way to capture the backlit leaves.
It was worth the detour.
No, I have no idea what bush this is, but the combination of the autumn-turned-red leaves and the golden sunlight, with that backdrop of large green vine leaves, had me grinning like a kid.
I thought about pulling out a macro lens, and spending some time, up close with these brilliant beauties, but moved on to the next portion of my journey instead.
Not dramatic, but fun. As life should be.
