Her name is Ellie, and she’s sleeping in the arms of my bride, my Karen Sue.

It was near the end of a long day full of ceremony, a luncheon, visiting with family & friends, and many, many photographs taken. It was Ellie’s baptismal day, and the families all gathered to celebrate this new life among us.

Ellie was a real trouper. Seldom a cry, and happy to be with all who wanted to hold and cherish her. Curious and calm about all the fuss, she took it all in. At the end of the day, it was easy for her to slip off to a contented slumber, wherever and whenever the spirit moved her.

All dressed up in her baptismal gown, several wanted their picture taken with Miss Ellie. This was my last frame of the day. My darling partner in life, cherishing the precious babe among us.

It was a good day.
