“Hey Matt! Take a look at the Sedum beds by the front sidewalk. They’re covered with butterflies and bees. A perfect photo opportunity.” Said by my brother Larry.
My first thought was: “What does Sedum look like?”
I’m not a gardener or floral cultivator. I know beauty when I see it, but I don’t usually know the name of a flower, or many other parts of nature. The same is true for people, I’m afraid. I know people by face, not having a head for recalling names.
What I do have, are family and friends who feed my love of nature or what might be a good subject for a photograph. After years of putting up a new photograph each day, I now receive tips and suggestions from those who know that I do appreciate the beauty or interesting thing they suggest to me.
There’s a whole world of unique and interesting things to see and behold. If I’m around, I like to be able to see them and, if possible, grab a good photograph or two, or more.
So, my thanks to my brother Larry for cluing me in to the display. Perhaps I’ll recall now, what Sedum looks like. Then again, perhaps not.

My first thought: How does he do this? Then I read of Larry’s (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) eagle eye. Congrats, my brothers;what a captivating view of nature!
