My great niece Ellie, asleep in the arms of her brother, my great nephew Charlie.
It was Ellie’s baptism day at church. She was outfitted in a hand-made dress, crafted with care from part of her mother’s (my niece) Katherine’s wedding dress.
Charlie and his brother Lewis, were in front of the church, with Lewis giving a short speech on the theme of Respect Life. Charlie & Ellie were living illustrations of what Lewis was saying.
I saw the way Charlie was cradling Ellie and the loving look he had on his face, and It was the perfect moment.
I can imagine that these two won’t always have this quiet a relationship. Being siblings always makes for it’s share of friction as well as a close bond formed through the trials and tribulations of growing up together.
At least for this moment, it was a peaceful, loving example of family love.

As you well know, I love family photographs. This is absolutely precious!!
