The Grandeur of the Sky

It was one of those stunning moments when I wish I had my camera in my hand, the instant I first saw something.

I had my camera in the car, so the day and the near-moment was saved.

I turned, as I was coming out from under the canopy over the steps, and looked at the sky. That’s a near reflex of mine most days. This ever-shifting light show was slowly morphing and shooting out sun rays from all around the clouds. There’s something wonderful about the majestic great clouds, blocking and opening the sunlight to move my soul.

I almost drove the car to the top of the parking garage, to get a better view. I did not, as I knew that with each passing tick of the clock, I would be missing another spectacle of light. I drove out into the street, heading West, keeping an eye for a spot to pull over and grab me some of those rays.

I got this for my efforts, and for being in the moment, ready to soak up the grandeur of the sky.
