Night Dance

The clouds were bright and reflecting the light pollution from the city and suburbs as they swiftly passed overhead amid the starry sky.

I tried to get the clouds but the stars won out.

Karen said that she had to look out and see what was going on, as it was taking me quite a while to enter the house after she heard the car door slam shut. At first she thought I might be listening to a good radio program, not wanting to turn it off. I do that sometimes and call it a driveway moment. Finally, the time went on too long and she was worried that I had fallen and couldn’t get up! She glanced out the window to see me crouching over my camera in the street, and she knew that it was just me and my obsession out there, so she could relax.

Three exposures, fused together to bring out the best view of the sky.

The dance of the clouds aloft among the stars, the trees and me as observers, swaying with the rhythm of the universe.

  2. Ditto, Trish. Springfield’s ‘light pollution’ lets you see this many stars? Wondrous; magical, and inspiring. Thanks for sharing it with your fans and visitors.
