Pink Post

Today began as overcast, with the sun popping out in the afternoon. We headed to Bluffton, to the Historic Bluffton District. Late 18th to 19th century homes line the streets in this town steeped in the history of the Old South.

There was a farmer’s market (first of the season!) going on, and Karen picked up some goods for our supper, and also visited the various art galleries while I took a photo-walk around the district.

This brick fencepost surrounded by the pink flowers drew my eye both when I took the photograph and when I looked at it in Lightroom. There’s something about this that screams Old South to me.

A pleasant day, and some great images to keep the memories alive.

  1. So similar to an impressionist painting with its wild mix of color, shapes and contours; and a low stone wall and post trying to restore order. A beauty.
