Shimmering Facets

The rough surfaces of the rocks along the shoreline of Lake Springfield, have facets which were shimmering with the reflected sunlight.

It was cold, the lake was covered in ice, the remnants of a recent snowfall lay as reminders that winter is here.

The shimmering rocks put a glint of warmth in my soul.

You have to look carefully sometimes, to see the beauty in life. You may have to look at this large, to see the shimmering that I was seeing. It’s worth a look.

Cold but beautiful.
