Someone else was taking a winter walk, the day I went trekking in Riverside Park. What animal this is, I don’t know. It doesn’t matter. That we shared the snowy woods, is enough for me.
The hour was getting late and the shadows getting long. I didn’t know how long the trail was, but I stopped whenever I saw something interesting. Like these animal tracks.
The crystal sparkling snow has that quality of sun-baked snow: slightly melted and crunchy. The long shadows highlighted these tracks, drawing me in.
It snowed again today.
I think I’ll make it out onto a trail once more tomorrow.
Wonder what I’ll see.
