Prairie Silhouette

Driving along, following the sunset into the west, I thought I was done, when this made me stop.

I pulled over, off of the two lane highway onto the shoulder.

This barn, silhouetted against the remains of a stunning sunset, with the dark rain clouds above, standing solitary on the landscape, grabbed at me.

A quick set and frame grab and I was off.

Later, last December, as I was downloading my photos from the Pentax K20D into Lightroom, I noticed the high ISO noise and dismissed it, having another photo in mind.

Tonight as I was looking for one more photo to upload, I again was taken with this stark but stunning landscape.

A little this and that in post processing and I’m happy that I gave this a second chance.

Everything deserves another look, a further taking in and seeing what was previously unseen.

Fiona

Miss Fiona, Sir Finnegan, & Valentine the bon vivant.

I enjoyed their company along with Kevin & Lola. Portraits were attempted, and the results look just lovely.

Finnegan honored me with a presentation of the blue squishy toy. Not to be touched, just for me to admire.

Fiona is the cool and poised poser of the trio. Elegant and relaxed.

Finnegan is the master of the castle, charming with his toy, and affable but a bit aloof.

Valentine, the young lad, was eager and energetic, if lacking in the mood to pose.

We all had fun. I look forward to another round some day.

Journey Together

Rachel & Tyler on the path to marriage.

I saw this and asked them for yet another kiss.

Simple stunning.

Thanks to Rachel & Tyler for being such a great and cooperative couple on yesterday’s engagement session.

You’re on the road.

Bridging the Gap

Imagine how hard it is to be two separate people, yet work together as one.

That’s what couples which commit to marriage attempt to do.

Having been married to my dear Karen Sue for over 30 years, I will admit that we’ve tried and had both successes and failures. The committment is to keep trying, come what may.

Bridging the gap between each other, for the sake of us.

It isn’t easy, but, when you’ve found your mate, and make the promises, you both try to find your way, together.
