Teeny Tiny Spiderweb

I carried our new Panasonic LX3 camera with me today.

As I was heading into the house, late this afternoon, I saw this green plant with very tiny leaves, some sort of a fern, I guess. I thought -”good opportunity for a macro!”

I got down close to the leaves and saw this tiny spiderweb. It’s really smaller than the nail on my pinkie finger. Somewhere close to .25 of an inch. Small.

I put the camera on manual focus, and because the wind was blowing, held the limb with one hand and the camera with the other. I’m close on the focus. With the wind it was not staying still!

The world of the small, there for us to see if we take time to look at it.

  1. You’d never know there was a wind/focus problem… this is right on target. And kudos for getting down where the action was. Delicate and intimate.
