Last weekend, blazing the trail through a nature preserve with family, we all stopped up short.
In front of us was a giant spider web, across the path.
We all went around the web, but I stayed behind to get this close-up, with the family in the background.
A wide-open aperture gives a narrow depth of field, blurring the background. My intent in this photo.
Later on, I ran into another one, and after dancing around brushing off all the web, I looked at my lens, and there was another guy just as big as this. The spider and web were centered in my lens hood! i tried to shake him off, and had to ask my niece to check me out for spare spider travelers. He must have jumped off because I was clean.
Family Fun, with spiders on the side. =)
