Riding the Washington D.C. Metro from Union Station to Balston on my to meetup with my brother Nick.
I made a rookie traveler mistake today by taking the Baltimore Metro to the Penn North stop, thinking that I would be near Penn Station. Nope. Thanks to the kindness of strangers, I got to the train on time.
I took the Amtrak Acela Express between Baltimore and Union station in D.C. This train is as fast as it gets in the US. I’ll have to find out how fast later. The trip was less than 30 minutes. Smooth and on time.
On the metro, still my favorite subway, there were lots of folks heading for an early start to their long weekend. I decided it was a good way to get my self portrait in the can.
