Penning Photography Daily

So, there I was, running on empty, finally pulling into a gas station for the dreaded fill-up. I put it off until the empty light had been on for a while, and I was in danger of running out in the middle of the street. =)

I had put the nozzle into my tank, started the flow and was prepared to stand, waiting until the tank was full, when inspiration struck.

I reached in my car, grabbed my camera, put it on a self timer, set the exposure and here you are.

Me, once more.

I think that I recall looking in wonder at the final total about the time the shutter clicked. $60 for a full tank. Wowsers!

Showing my age, I do recall gas prices of $.25 a gallon. That, was a very, very long time ago.
