Getting the mail out of the mailbox in our front yard.

The mail carriers drive and deliver from their vehicle in our neighborhood. In the city, they go on foot, from door to door, with the postal boxes on the houses. Here we have curb service.

As I get home of an evening, I walk up to retrieve the day’s mail on my way in the front door. A habit that is altered in Winter if there’s snow. Then I drive up and grab the mail before parking my car.

A day in the life.
