I tossed in a bit of warmth at the very end of my processing of this portrait.
I was a bit tired and hot, it’s so very warm around here. My first setup didn’t pan out, and this is the last frame before my backdrop fell down. I figured I’d take that as a sign that it was time to move on. =)
I had a slight smile, at least I thought I did. Looking at it, I can see the “thousand mile stare” of a tired self.
My sister Trish and I, just two years apart, are close. I’m always teasing her when she gets that tired stare, and she the same for me.
Still, I like how this came out, if only because it’s a different look than I’ve done before. I seem to be more comfortable in just being me in front of the camera. Not completely yet. I had a towel, sopping up the beads of sweat as I went. Vanity, all is vanity.
