I was sitting in my car, after a very hot family event assignment this afternoon. Enjoying the coolness before I opened the door.

I thought of the rear-view mirror and about using it for my self portrait of the day. I’ve done that before, but there’s always another way.

I tried the rear-view mirror, but wanted more of my face to show.

The light was streaming in my side of the car, casting hard shadows.

I pulled down the visor, and opened up the cosmetic mirror there. It has a small light to add illumination.

I like this a lot.

The contrast of lights and darks is there, but I pulled the shadows out a bit in my conversion to black & white.
