198 of 366 Self Portraits

I recall the ending scene of the movie version of the Ayn Rand novel “The Fountainhead.” The title coming from a phrase in the book: “man’s ego is the fountainhead of human progress.”

I love the subtle contrast of light and dark, of pink in my shirt and blue sky, black pants and white clouds. There’s also the contrast of my image against the wide landscape of sky.

Another image that just popped into my head tonight, and I diverted to a wide open area to capture the blue sky and white clouds, and somehow incorporate me.

I suppose it was my ego which put the stamp of my individualism on this, and every other of my self portrait series.
