I was taking some twilight scenes for a potential commercial shoot, and turned around.

Bob’s Butternut Hut.

A real hole-in-the-wall tavern at the edge of downtown Springfield.

I’ve never frequented the establishment, but something about the scene had me stop and grab this one frame.

The pickup truck, and motorcycle out font, the last bit of twilight overhead, and the glow of the awning.

All adds up to a portrait of a neighborhood watering hole.

Folks gathering for a night of socializing.
