Window light in our master bathroom.
While the phrase “master bathroom” may bring images of some vast expanse devoted to the pampering of the homeowner, let me clue you in: It’s 6 by 8 feet, including a tub/shower combo, lavatory and sink. The two of us don’t ever use it at the same time. =)
My bride Karen uses the guest bath (a near duplicate) for her morning ablutions. She also is up far earlier than I am. She’s a 15 minute shower, I’m a 3 minute guy. I’m ready in 15 minutes, and I’ll leave the timing of her preparations as State Secret.
I came home tonight after doing some location scouting for a soon engagement shoot, and saw this late afternoon light coming in the window. I had to take advantage of it.
I know much is out of focus here. My depth of field (DOF) is very thin, I had the aperture at f2.0 on my lovely 50mm f1.4 Pentax prime lens. If you look at my upper lip, there’s a plane of focus even with that vertically through my face – the front of my glasses is more in focus than my eyes are.
My bride of near 30 years, the delightful and artistic Karen, liked this one best of the lot. “Something about your eyes,” is what she said.
The eyes have it.
