This is the pond at the center of a neighborhood of homes called Val-E-View. It’s right next to my own neighborhood.

The original theme was horses. They used to have a riding ring and stables. They’re gone now, but there are still some horses kept by folks at the far edges of the neighborhood.

Again, this was the road taken at the last minute. The road less traveled. Going with my gut, I headed for the pond.

I was rewarded by my diversion home with this lovely pastoral scene. It sneaks up on the driver, as the road has sharp turns in it.

I took one shot out my passenger window, and moved on.

Later I noticed the wood post with reflecting tape on it. A sentinel to ward off folks from driving into the pond. I wonder how well that works out for them?
