Here’s this farm, at the edge of my city. At the intersection of two now busy highways.
The scene never fails to give me a boost.
The barn and silo, at the edge of the pond, with the land around it clear of all other buildings.
This one was taken as I was driving – I know, I’m trying to avoid these, but really it called out to me! I had my windows down, enjoying the breeze yesterday in the late afternoon. I saw the grand landscape of this and grabbed my camera.
Without taking my eyes off the road, I pointed the camera out the window and grabbed this one frame. I admit, that I had set the camera up for a driving shot, “Just In Case.” I wasn’t sure what I had until I downloaded to Lightroom.
This is one of my sister-in-law Mary Ann’s favorite hometown scenes. She lives with my brother Nick in far off Arlington, Virginia. I’ve taken other photos of this for her.
I hope she likes it as much as I do.

peaceful… the small patch of uniquely-formed clouds offer a nice touch.
