I used a circular polarizing filter for this one.
Just like polarized sunglasses, a polarizing filter blocks light from a certain angle from your camera. Blocking haze and glare from a lake are two reasons to use one. A circular polarizing filter, allows you to change what type of light is blocked. This really is too simplified an explanation. Go to Camerapedia for a better one: http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Polarizer
In this case, using the filter allowed me to get better definition in the clouds and sky without the whites blowing out, being too bright, in the cloulds.
A local farm scene. The farmers around here, have been confounded by the wet Spring. Planting is very late. I worry about the low yields as a possible result.
