Ok – I admit I got off a day with my day of the year numbering. Back on track today. There’s probably a duplicate number out there – I’ll re-number as I have a moment. =)
I was challenged to work more with black & white after reading an article from a photographer I respect. So, with this day’s self portrait, I’ll see if I can’t start doing more about the exposure and light of a portrait, and less on the color. The point is, the color can take away from the subject of the photo. In this case, the subject is me.
Sitting in my car, in-between errands, I took the time in my driveway, parked no less, to snap off a few frames of me.
The reflected light from outside and from the light-colored interior was what I was looking for.
I took the clarity slider down and reduced the contrast in Lightroom. It gives it a bit of a softness.
Portrait of the artist as a graying man.
