As I was uploading photos from today’s moving activities, I remembered I didn’t have a self portrait yet.
I looked up and saw the light falling on my face in my reflection in the sunroom door glass.
Instant idea!
I swapped lenses for my telephoto – the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 LD. I put it on manual focus, as it was hard to get the focus just right in autofocus. Even with manual, it’s just off – double glazing on the window throws it off.
Set the delay timer for 2 seconds and start shooting till I got it right. About 6 shots to get it where I was moderately satisfied.
I’m sitting in my recliner, with my IBM Thinkpad on my lap, and the server monitor on a swing-arm to my left. Captain Geek. =)
