A special sunset, as it appeared to me on this Leap Day, February 29.

After I left this location, I was bugged by the fact that the sunset became more spectacular as I traveled closer to home.

This was the second location I chose to take the sunset’s portrait from tonight. I ended up stopping at three separate locations, and finally letting go on traveling to a fourth and headed home.

By the time I had to decide on going to a fourth location, the skies were lush in purples clouds against the deep blue skies

This was a reminder that I should have listened to my gut at location number two. “Stay here, it’ll only get better after the sun set” is what my inner voice was saying. It was correct.

Another lesson learned. Another beautiful sunset provided free of charge.
