The Corridor

Not room 217 or 237 as in the book and movie of “The Shining” authored by Stephen King and turned into a cinema marvel by Stanley Kubrick.

I immediately thought of the scene in the movie where young Danny, a 6 year old on a Big Wheel bike, turns the corner and confronts the ghosts of the Grady twin girls down a long hotel corridor.

Some movies are like that. They make such visual and emotional marks on my memory that other, similar places bring the scenes to instant recall.

A 2nd long day of tough meetings of many minds over complex issues.

I’m mentally exhausted.

I didn’t even bring my camera with me to dinner. Shocking as that seems.

This is the last photo I took last evening as I rounded the bend and saw the long corridor ahead of me.

Perfect for my photo of the day.

Good night!
