Driving past the Old State Capitol this afternoon, I saw this light and sky combination.

The sandstone blocks of this building have been around since State Representative Abraham Lincoln worked under the dome.

A long time.

The sandstone color is highlighted by the late afternoon sun.

The lightning rod, with it’s rust red color stands in stark contrast to the deep blue sky with just a hint of cloud.

I found it interesting.
