I happened to glance at the odometer on my car tonight. I saw the magic number of 111,111 miles was about to roll up.

Bingo! My Picture of the Day!

So, I took a longer way home just to get to the magic number tonight.

I had my 50mm f1.4 lens on. One of my best.

I fiddled with the settings in manual mode and ended up with a stable, readable photo with lots of noise.

A little Adobe Lightroom adjustment and here you are.

It’s a 1998 Toyota Avalon.

With the exception of an air-conditioning part a few years ago, it’s been very good to me.

I bought it used, with about 46,000 miles on it. =)

I expect it will continue to keep me going where I want to go, as long as I take care of it’s minimal needs, for another 111,111 miles.

It’ll last longer than my initial joy when we bought it has.

We’re long-term friends now. Comfortable with each other, and there for the other whenever needed.
