Alyssa is my youngest niece – Just entering University.

She spent part of her Summer vacation in Alexandria, Egypt with a family, and going to school to learn Arabic.

We had a family gathering tonight at our house, and Alyssa regaled us with her travel tales.

I caught her in this photo as she was saying that she was happy that there was a Pizza Hut in Egypt so she could have some familiar food. =)

A lovely girl, with a real sense of adventure and exploration.

Her mom and dad have opened their home to an Italian exchange student, Nicolo, so on her breaks from school, Alyssa practices her Italian with her Italian brother. That works out well, as she’s taking Italian as a language in college!

Small world indeed.
