You might notice the dirt paths. That’s pretty much all the trail is.
The other loop, hasn’t been maintained for a while, so there’s a long part of it, which the trail mostly dissapears.
The quality of light, late in the afternoon, filtered by the green canopy, was magnificent.
This was our second visit. We didn’t stay until sunset in the garden this time.
We did have dinner at The Ariston Cafe which is a lovely restaurant on old Route 66. Check out their desserts - well worth the calories if you’ve a mind to indulge.
We had fun, took lots of photos, and enjoyed the sunset after dinner.
Litchfield also has an outdoor drive-in theater, in case you plan a trip.
I pulled over to grab this first, as the farmer dismounted his harvester.
After I took this one, and turned the corner, I discovered his fellow farmer, in another harvester, kicking up a cloud of dust as he cut a swath through the field.
We’ve not had much rain lately. That’s of some benefit to the farmers who need to harvest and could not if the fields were muddy. It does add to the dust problems tho.
A delightful day in the low 80’s F.
A perfect day for harvesting and a photo or two of the harvest.
The room filled with light, softly reflected onto my face.
Not in a funk anymore, and my smile shows that.
The weekend is here.
Fall is in the air, the leaves are turning color, and the temperatures are moderating.
Like my mood. =)
I was focusing in on Karen’s hair for a macro shot - when she informed me that my inspiration was not cool.
Saw this Venetian hand-blown glass decanter, which our best man John gave us almost 29 years ago as a wedding gift.
A-ha!
I took a full length shot, but flubbed the focus so that only the top was crisp.
I noticed my reflection in the top portion and cropped to this view.
My hands gripping the camera and Karen at the table to my left.
In the bathroom.
In the dark.
Fooling around with long exposures, my Zenitar 16mm, and, Strobe Effect.
Inspiration from Strobist fellow jwlphotography
I have a lot to learn. =)
One photo and one shutter click at a time!
The sun was setting, and I asked Emily to indulge me just a few more times. =)
My good fortune, she did.
I was busy tonight, so had to dip into the portfolio of the unpublished work for my Picture of the day.
That didn’t hurt, did it?
Such a delightful person, a winning smile.
She had homework on her mind, not photography, but she cooperated.
This tree is right outside her back door. Handy. =)
I’ve had computer troubles, but I worked around them to get this one up.
The POTD has to be maintained.
And such a lovely subject for today.
