I will be shooting a sunrise wedding ceremony next week.

Karen and I got up at 4AM today and made it down to Lake Waverly to do a dry run.

That’s early.

Way early. =)

We had fun getting there, setting up, checking out settings for lighting and position.

The sun came up over a different section of the lake from what the couple are figuring on. Good thing I did the test!

I grabbed this one towards the end, after the sun was up over the tree-line.

I developed 6 exposures at varying exposure variables and used Photomatix to bring out the high dynamic range between the bright sky and the shadowed foreground.

I believe I can make this work!
