Another weekend, another wedding.
I’m starting to feel like the wedding crasher guys.
Except I get paid to be there!
At the rehearsal dinner tonight, there was this couple – he’s the best man (I think – don’t ask – weddings blur in my brain).
I took their photo, then when I saw that the lighting was not exactly what I wanted, I asked for another shot.
They got cheek to cheek and “Bob’s Your Uncle!”
I used my Lightscoop – lightscoop.com The ceilings were a bit high, but it was easier than lugging my regular off-camera flash plus diffuser around. I like this tool. For the right circumstances, it’s a nice addition.
I start back up at Noon tomorrow – and the wedding is at 4PM with reception after.
One nice touch: We’re doing all the formals before the wedding.
Tip for Brides: Do the formals before the wedding. Your photographer will love you, and you will be fresher in your photos. =)

Agreed. Nothing is better than formals before the ceremony. Then your guests aren’t waiting 2 hours for you to show up at the reception, and you can do something fun on the way to the reception like stop by a park and get some nice outdoors.
