Sunset on the way home

I should just give up and be prepared to take a photo when I know the sunset is going to hit me as I turn the corner towards the Western sky while driving.

I wanted to grab the scene from about 500 feet further back, but was fumbling to get my camera ready and slowing down. =)

I love the starburst around the sun and it’s reflection in my car hood.

I stopped down the lens to be able to get it all in without blowing the highlights. Stuck my camera out my window, focused and grabbed this one shot.

I held onto the camera for dear life. I’d hate to see it tumble.

Like this sunset, the camera and all things in my life are fleeting. Here today, gone tomorrow.

I try to appreciate them while I have them. Goes for sunsets, and people as well.

Here’s hoping you have an appreciation and gratitude for what is in your life.

I’m having a ball, learning and seeing new things every moment.
